Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most well-known role was Skyler on AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 & 2014. She also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student at Sante Fe New Mexico. After that, her family relocated to Ohio in the United States, where she nurtured her interest in the theatre. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna was working in the theatre in the Chicago area for several years prior to trying her hand at television and film roles. Anna's first major character was Arden, in Down the Shore. She appeared on 29 episodes. The actress continued to make appearances as a guest star in a number of television shows and films including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue up to the end of 90's when she was cast in a regular role in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood during two complete seasons. In 2008 she was cast as Skyler on Breaking Bad. Sully as well as Deadwood are also a an integral part of her professional career. Gunn has also appeared on stage in David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn played in a 4-part audio-play podcast named "Numbered days". The drama of Breaking Bad is driven by the relationship with Walter White, his wife Skyler and their uneasy relationship. The decline of their relationship is in line with Walter White's last years.
